Michael’s motivation for the book was simple. He possesses an expertise that most people don’t know or have lost with regard to seeking and interviewing of a job. He is a Keeper of Lost Knowledge and his handbook walks the reader through every step of the hiring process with useful and quick reference advice he gained during the last quarter century.
Michael began his headhunting career in 1992, residing in North Carolina and placing professionals nationwide. In 2001, he relocated to Europe and continues to represent both client companies and accomplished professionals. With over 27 years of experience as a direct search recruiter, he has amassed a unique level of expertise few others can claim.
During his recruiting career he’s specialized in sales, management and technical positions in a variety of fields, including: medical devices, capital equipment, manufacturing and pharmaceutical markets; thereafter, in fiber–optic and semiconductor market sectors. More recently, he is engaged in general management and professional services, including: legal, finance, banking, tax & audit and human resource sector recruiting.
Michael has assisted people at most professional levels. This insight provides him with a diverse, detailed expertise and in–depth knowledge of the job search and interview processes. He understands that recruiting, attracting and representing good professionals is much more than simply CVs, titles, duties and money. Companies hire people and not paper (resumes).
